About Oxford Maths Team Challenge
The Oxford Maths Team Challenge aims to inspire secondary school students by introducing them to mathematics that makes them think. Our competition emphasises both individual excellence and collaborative problem-solving, fostering an environment where students can explore challenging mathematical concepts alongside like-minded peers.
Our Values
- Community. We bring together students from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for mathematics, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and collaborative learning.
- Accessibility. We strive to make advanced mathematics accessible to all talented students, regardless of their background or prior exposure to competitive mathematics.
Our competition aims to provide a platform for young mathematicians to challenge themselves, work together, and discover the excitement of advanced mathematical thinking. Through carefully-crafted problems and a supportive environment, our goal is to show students the breadth and beauty of mathematics beyond the classroom.
OMTC Online
For the 2025 OMTC, we received many times more registrations than we’re able to host. As thanks for your overwhelming support, we’re running a virtual mirror of the contest on March 9th 2025 (Sunday). The virtual event will give teams a chance to attempt the same questions as the in-person contest, and we’ll also be giving out prizes to virtual teams which perform well.
